What can I do to help protect my scholar and the entire Mighty Scholars Preschool Academy family?
Follow the CDC recommendations by:
- wash hands frequently and thoroughly with soap and water for a minimum of 20 seconds
- use hand sanitizer when unable to wash hands with soap and water (not a substitute for soap and water)
- stay home when appropriate
- teach and practice proper hygiene and hand washing techniques with my scholar, along with reviewing as part of home conversations
- cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue, discard it into the trash and immediately wash hands thoroughly with soap and water
- cover coughs and sneezes with the inside of your elbow if a tissue isn't available
- clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily
- notify Mighty Scholars Preschool Academy if my scholar or immediate family member has tested positive for COVID-19

What will Mighty Scholars Preschool Academy do to help protect the entire MSPA family?
Mighty Scholars Preschool Academy will be following ADE and AZDHS recommendations, CDC recommendations, as well as the following:
Screening and Monitoring
- enforcing school set health and safety policies
- hand sanitizing prior to school entry
- monitoring scholar safety and health closely through class time, providing temperature and symptom checks as needed
- isolating a scholar with any symptoms and notifying scholar's parent/guardian of required immediate pick-up
- immediately notifying Mighty Scholars Preschool Academy families of any COVID-19 infection within the immediate families of enrolled scholars
Sanitation and Hygiene
- teaching and developing routines with proper hygiene and regularly reinforce frequent hand washing techniques
- keeping adequate cleaning and disinfecting supplies: disinfecting soap, spray bottles, hand sanitizer, tissues, disinfecting liquids, etc.
- ongoing cleaning and disinfecting protocol with the use of EPA and FDA cleared, hospital grade 'List N' disinfectant and disinfectant machines to frequently clean surfaces, manipulatives and supplies
- full classroom disinfecting machine fogging
- completing regular maintenance and inspections of ventilation systems
- using and regularly maintaining patented PECO certified filter units
Mighty Scholars Preschool Academy is already in compliance with the small group/family model, with the ratio of 4:1
